Sesame Crusted Chicken Recipe

Chicken marinated in spiced yoghurt and baked in a sesame crust, srved with tomato chutney.

Ingredients Of Sesame Crusted Chicken

  • 1 Kg Chicken (boneless, cut into 2 inch cubes)
  • For the marinade:
  • 100 Ml Yogurt
  • 2 Tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp Raw papaya paste
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp Green cardamom seeds (ground)
  • 3 Tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • To coat:
  • 3 Eggs
  • 2 Tbsp Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 3 Tbsp Sesame seeds
  • 6 Green chillies, finely chopped
  • 3 Tbsp Coriander paste
  • For the chutney:
  • 1/2 Kg Tomatoes (chopped), peeled
  • 1 tsp Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Chilli powder
  • 1 Tbsp Vinegar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Jaggery, grated
  • 1 Tbsp Coriander, chopped

How to Make Sesame Crusted Chicken

  1. 1.Combine chicken with marinade ingredients. Set aside for 3 hours.
  2. 2.Beat eggs, flour, salt, green chillies and coriander together.
  3. 3.Roll chicken in egg mixture, followed by sesame seeds.
  4. 4.Bake at 220 degrees C for about 10 minutes, basting frequently with oil.
  5. Prepare chutney:
  6. 1.Cook all ingredients together until thick. Serve cold with chicken.
